Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (Commissioner), David Allen, is looking for a very festive design for his Christmas card this year and is asking schools to take part.

Commissioner David Allen said: “The festive period is all about coming together to celebrate and, this year, I’d love to have a drawing from one of our young residents on my Christmas card.

“I’m looking for a fantastic and creative design that really encompasses the theme of ‘Sharing Christmas Together and Supporting Communities’. The drawing can be of anything that shows the joy, kindness and fun of Christmas – especially if it includes keeping people safe!

“I know we’ll have some fantastic young artists in the county, so I’d love to see your designs. The winning design will be printed on my official Christmas card that will be sent all across the county and the winner will get a festive prize!

“I’ve written to all infant and primary schools in the county asking if they wish to take part and I’ve had some really positive responses. If your child or school would like to be included, please contact my office at commissioner@cumbria-pcc.gov.uk – the more the merrier!

“I can’t wait to see all of your brilliant designs – I already know it will be incredibly difficult to choose a winner!”

All designs must be submitted to commissioner@cumbria-pcc.gov.uk or through post to Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, David Allen, 1-2 Carleton Hall, Penrith, CA10 2AU by Thursday 4 December. Further details can be found on the Cumbria PFCC website.
