Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (Commissioner), David Allen, and Councillor Sally Lansbury are hosting a surgery in Keswick to listen to residents’ concerns and views around Cumbria Constabulary, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) and the local community.
The surgery will be held at Keswick Rugby Club, Crow Park Road, Keswick, CA12 5EG on Monday 7 September from 4pm – 5:20pm.
Following the surgery, the Commissioner and Councillor are attending the Keswick Community Partnership meeting in the Rugby Club, starting at 5:30pm. The partnership is a newly formed network to improve access to services in Keswick and support the work of local volunteer groups. The meeting is open to the public.
Speaking on the surgery, Commissioner David Allen said: “As Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, I am the residents’ voice – your voice - within policing and fire, therefore it’s vital that I am visible and accessible to the public.
“I’d encourage anyone in Keswick or the surrounding area to come along and speak to me if they have an issue they’d like to raise. If I don’t know there is a problem, I can’t help fix it.
“Hosting this surgery with Councillor Lansbury ensures that local issues make it to the appropriate organisation to resolve. Partnership working is so important to ensure that our communities receive the best services possible.

“We will listen and work together to find the right source of help for individual cases, and we will be better able to influence the policy makers on issues that really matter to local people.”
