Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (Commissioner), David Allen, will be available on Wednesday 5th February at Levens and then later in Dalton-in-Furness, for people to meet with him face-to-face and discuss their ideas and views on Cumbria Constabulary and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.

The Commissioner will be continuing to hold a series of Spring surgeries across the county over the coming months and dates and venues will be published once confirmed. The Levens surgery will be at Levens Village Hall, Lowgate LA8 8NL from 1-2.30pm and the Dalton-in-Furness surgery is at the Co-op on Market Street, LA15 8AA from 3.15-5pm on the 5th February - no appointments are necessary.

Commissioner David Allen, comments: “Holding surgeries is just one of the ways that I engage with members of the public.

“I really hope that people take the opportunity to come and meet with me face to face at Levens or Dalton-in-Furness to share their views on the Police and Fire & Rescue services in Cumbria.

“I am really keen to speak to as many people as possible, as it helps give me a real feel for what people are experiencing out in our communities. It also helps me get a sense of what people see as the policing priorities in their local areas.

“I genuinely welcome all views – I want to hear your opinions on the services so that I know what is working well for the public and what can be improved.

“In my role as Commissioner, I am your voice. If any member of the public has a concern about crime in their area, or around the Constabulary or Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, I encourage them to get in touch, either at one of my surgeries or by emailing me directly on commissioner@cumbria-pcc.gov.uk or calling 01768 217734.”

If you wish to report to police you can do so online at Report a crime | Cumbria Police. You can also phone on 101. Always phone 999 in an emergency or if a crime is in progress.
