Accountability Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Salary Scale: 5 (£29,109 to £31,296)
Hours: temporary role starting July 2026 for 12 months
based on 37 hours per week
Location: Carleton Hall Police Headquarters, Penrith, Cumbria
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide 12 months maternity cover for the role of Accountability Assistant, supporting the work of the Accountability Team within the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.
Within this role the successful candidate will be required to help manage effective administration support to enable the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and the OPFCC Executive Team to hold the Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer to account for the provision of policing and fire services.
They will be responsible for coordinating and arranging all accountability boards and panels, taking minutes and notes; and monitoring actions arising from the meetings. They will also be responsible for the publication of statutory and other accountability related information on the OPFCC website.
